How to Create a OKX API Key for Wick Hunter

Wick Hunter supports direct integration with OKX, one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges for Spot, Futures, and Options trading.

Step 1: Log In to OKX

  1. Log in to your OKX account

  2. Hover over your profile icon in the top right

  3. Click on API from the dropdown menu


Step 2: Create a New API Key

  1. Click Create V5 API Key

  2. Choose API trading for the purpose

  3. Set a custom name, such as WickHunter

  4. Select the correct Sub-account if applicable


Step 3: Set Permissions

To work with Wick Hunter, your API key must have the following:

  • Read Permission

  • Trade Permission

  • Do not enable Withdraw permission


Step 4: Create a Passphrase and Confirm

  1. Enter a secure passphrase (you’ll use this when connecting to Wick Hunter)

    • Example: Hunter2024

  2. Complete your 2FA (email + Google Authenticator)

  3. Click Confirm to generate your keys

Step 5: Copy Your API Credentials

After creation, OKX will display:

  • API Key

  • API Secret

  • Passphrase

Make sure to copy and save all three values securely — you’ll need them for Wick Hunter, and they are shown only once.


Step 6: Connect OKX to Wick Hunter

  1. Go to your Wick Hunter dashboard

  2. Click Connect Exchange

  3. Select OKX

  4. Choose Manual Connect

  5. Paste in:

    • API Key

    • API Secret

    • Passphrase

  6. Name the connection (e.g., “OKX – WickHunter”)

  7. Click Connect


Success!

Your OKX account is now securely connected to Wick Hunter. You can begin running bots on Spot, USDT Futures, USDC Futures, or Coin-Margined contracts.


Troubleshooting Tips

  • Double-check your passphrase — it must match exactly

  • Delete and recreate the API if you lose the Secret

  • You may leave IP restrictions empty unless you're using a fixed server

  • Ensure your OKX account is KYC-verified for API access
