Updated over a week ago

1) Switch to Bybit Demo Trading

From the Bybit dashboard, open Tools → Demo Trading.
This ensures you’re working in the Paper environment.

2) Open API Management

In Demo mode, go to Profile → API Management and click Create New Key.

3) Choose API Key Type

Select System-generated API Keys

4) Configure API Settings

  1. Name: Give your API a friendly label.

  2. Permissions: Select Read-Write (Trade).

  3. IP Whitelist: Paste the Wick Hunter IPs here.

  4. Trading Scope: Enable Contracts, USDC Contracts, and Spot Trading.

5) Copy API Key + Secret

After confirming, Bybit will display your API Key and Secret once.
⚠️ Save these securely—you’ll need them for Wick Hunter.

6) In Wick Hunter, Select Bybit Paper Trading

Back in Wick Hunter, go to Connect Exchange and choose Bybit Paper Trading.

7) Pick Market Types

Choose which market types you’ll trade.
Options: Inverse, Spot, USDT Perps, USDC Perps.
Most users start with USDT Perpetual.

8) Enter API into Wick Hunter

Fill in the connection form:

  • Account Name → Any friendly label

  • API Key → From Bybit

  • API Secret → From Bybit

  • Click Connect

✅ Done!

Your Bybit Demo account should now show as Active in Wick Hunter, with balances and markets loaded.

⚠️ Troubleshooting

  • Invalid Key → Check you created the API in Demo, not Live.

  • Connection failed → Confirm IP whitelist is correct.

  • Orders not working → Ensure you enabled Read-Write (Trade).
