Strategy Follower Guide

How to subscribe to a strategy. How to follow a strategy. Creating marketplace bots. Earning money with marketplace.

Updated over a week ago

The Wick Hunter Marketplace allows you to subscribe to strategies created by approved providers and automatically receive their trading signals. Depending on the type of strategy you choose, you can either fully rely on the provider’s settings or customize parts of the bot configuration to fit your own risk profile.

Subscribing to a Strategy

To follow a strategy, you first need to purchase a subscription in the Marketplace. Strategies may be offered as a fixed-price monthly plan or on a profit commission basis. Once subscribed, you gain access to the signals generated by the provider’s bots.

Important: in order to receive signals for profit-based strategies (i.e., those strategies that charge a fee on profits), you will need a marketplace balance of at least 10 credits. This is to ensure the strategy provider can be paid for potential profits. You can top up your marketplace balance using credit card or crypto payments at Subscription & Credits.

Creating a Marketplace Bot

After subscribing, you must create a Marketplace bot in order to receive signals. Unlike providers, followers create bots from the normal Create Bot page under the Marketplace Bots section of the dashboard.

  • For Semi Auto strategies, you will see a dropdown list of templates provided by the strategy creator. You can select a template and use it as-is, or you can modify the TP/SL/DCA settings while still receiving entry signals from the provider.

  • For Full Auto strategies, you will not see templates. Instead, you will be given a form to configure your own safety settings, such as leverage, stop loss, and size multiplier. The rest of the trade management is fully handled by the provider.

Once the Marketplace bot is created and enabled, you will automatically begin receiving signals from the strategy you subscribed to.

Managing Your Balance and Auto Top-Up

In order to stay subscribed, you need a sufficient balance to cover either the fixed monthly subscription or the profit commissions that apply at the end of the month. If your balance is too low, you will stop receiving signals.

To avoid interruptions, you can enable Auto Top-Up in the Credits page. Auto Top-Up requires you to grant permission to our third-party payment provider to securely store your credit card. When your balance falls below a chosen threshold, Wick Hunter will automatically charge your card and add funds to your account.

If you do not grant credit card permissions and your balance falls below the required threshold, you will lose access to the strategy and stop receiving signals until your balance is restored manually.

Unsubscribing from a Strategy

If you choose to unsubscribe, you will continue to receive signals until the current subscription period ends. If you no longer wish to execute trades, it is important to manually remove or disable your Marketplace bots after unsubscribing.

Reviewing Your Results

You can monitor your performance at any time in the Profit & Loss page of the dashboard. Use the filters to review results by the specific Marketplace bot you created, making it easy to track how each subscribed strategy is performing.

Practical Examples

  • Fixed-price subscription: If a strategy costs $39 per month and you subscribe on the 5th, you are charged $39 immediately. You keep access until the 5th of the following month, regardless of how the strategy performs.

  • Profit commission – positive month: Suppose you follow a strategy that makes $100 profit during a month. If the provider charges a 20% commission, $20 is owed. After Wick Hunter’s 25% platform fee is deducted, the provider receives $15, and your account balance is reduced by $20.

  • Profit commission – losing month: If the same strategy loses $200 during the month, you pay nothing. Commissions are only charged on positive profits.

  • Back-to-back months: If you lose $200 in the first month and then make $100 the second month, you will still pay $20 for the second month’s profits. Losses from one month are not carried forward to offset gains in the next.

  • Low balance scenario: If your balance drops below the required threshold and you have not enabled Auto Top-Up with a credit card, you will immediately lose access to the strategy. No further signals will be delivered until your balance is restored.
