Wick Hunter Marketplace Overview

How to create a marketplace strategy. How to start a marketplace bot. What Semi Auto and Full Auto is. PnL Commissions and Fixed price.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Wick Hunter Marketplace is designed to connect experienced traders (“Strategy Providers”) with users who want to follow proven strategies.
By subscribing to a strategy, inexperienced traders can automatically receive signals from providers without having to design or execute trades themselves.

To ensure transparency, Wick Hunter executes all signals for all Marketplace strategies on a dedicated demo trading account. This allows us to calculate and publish real, verifiable performance data. When you browse the Marketplace, the returns and metrics you see are based on actual executed trades, not just self-reported results.

Strategy Types

There are two types of strategies in the Marketplace: Semi Auto and Full Auto.

Semi Auto Strategies

  • The provider sends entry signals and offers a set of bot templates that include Take Profit, Stop Loss, and DCA settings.

  • Followers can choose to use the template exactly as provided or update it with their own settings, while still receiving all entry signals from the provider.

Example:
A provider creates a Semi Auto strategy and includes a template with a 2% SL and 4% TP. A follower subscribes, but instead of using that template, they override it with a tighter 1% SL and 2% TP, while still receiving entry signals from the provider.

Full Auto Strategies

  • The provider defines and controls nearly everything: entry, exit, and position management.

  • Followers can still adjust three important parameters:

    • Leverage

    • Stop Loss

    • Size multiplier (scales the trade size up or down relative to the provider’s signal)

Example:
A provider signals to open a position equal to 10% of the follower’s balance. If the follower sets a size multiplier of 0.5×, only 5% of their balance is used. The provider manages all subsequent position updates and orders.

Pricing Models

Providers can choose how to monetize their strategies. There are two main pricing models:

  1. Fixed Price

    • Followers pay a flat monthly subscription fee to access a strategy.

    • The cost is predictable and does not depend on trading results.

  2. Profit Commission

    • Wick Hunter calculates the profits a follower makes with a strategy on a daily basis.

    • The provider sets the commission rate they want to charge, expressed as a percentage of the profits made (for example, 10% or 20%).

    • Wick Hunter withholds a portion of this commission as a platform fee.

For a detailed breakdown of how profits and commissions are calculated and processed, see Marketplace Billing & Commissions.

This overview should help you understand the basics of how the Marketplace works, what types of strategies are available, and how pricing is structured. From here, you can continue to the guides for Providers or Followers, depending on the role you’re interested in.
