How to Create a Hyperliquid API Key for Wick Hunter

Hyperliquid is a high-performance, decentralized perpetuals exchange.

COMMON ISSUE: Make sure to see actual wallet address NOT the one you generated while creating the API. See Step 3 #5.

Step 1: Open Hyperliquid’s API Key Page

  1. Go to: https://hyperliquid.xyz/api

  2. Make sure your wallet is connected (top right of the page)

  3. You’ll see a section titled API Keys

Step 2: Generate a New API Key

  1. Click Create API Key

  2. Optionally enter a name (e.g., WickHunter)

  3. Click Create

Hyperliquid will generate:

  • Private Key (Copy this BEFORE hitting Authorize)

Important

Copy and save your API Secret immediately!
You will only see it once — if you lose it, you’ll need to create a new key.

Step 3: Connect to Wick Hunter

  1. Open your Wick Hunter dashboard

  2. Click Connect Exchange

  3. Select Hyperliquid

  4. Choose Manual Connect

  5. Paste the following:

    • Wallet Address (actual wallet address)

    • Private Key (copied from before)

  6. Give the connection a name (e.g. "Hyperliquid – WickHunter")

  7. Click Connect

You're All Set!

You’ve successfully connected Hyperliquid to Wick Hunter via API. You can now start running bots and automated strategies directly on-chain.

Troubleshooting

  • Make sure your Private Key and Wallet Address were pasted correctly

  • Wick Hunter does not support withdrawal functionality — trading only

  • If your connection fails, delete the API key and create a new one
