How to Create a Bybit API Key for Wick Hunter

To trade through Wick Hunter using your Bybit account, you’ll need to securely connect it via API. Here's how to do it step-by-step.

Step 1: Log in to Bybit (Web only)

  • Go to https://www.bybit.com in your browser.

  • Click your profile icon (top-right corner)

  • Select API Management

Step 2: Create a New API Key

  • On the API Management page, click Create New Key

Step 3: Choose “Connect to Third-Party App”

  • Under API Key Type, select:
    ✅ System-generated
    ✅ Connect to Third-party Applications

  • In the dropdown, choose WickHunter

💡 If you don’t see “WickHunter,” try typing it manually or make sure you’re on the correct Bybit region (.com vs EU).

Step 4: Set API Permissions

Check the following permissions:

  • ✅ Enable Read/Write (for trading)

  • 🚫 Do not enable Withdrawal

  • ✅ Ensure Unified Trading is selected if available

  • ✅ Enable Order, Positions, and Account Info if presented

Step 5: Complete 2FA Verification

  • You’ll be asked to verify via email and Google Authenticator (2FA)

  • Once complete, your API Key will be created

IMPORTANT: Copy your API Key and API Secret immediately.
You’ll only see the Secret once!

Step 6: Connect to Wick Hunter

Now open Wick Hunter and follow these steps:

  1. Click Connect Exchange

  2. Choose Bybit

  3. Select Manual Connect

  4. Enter your API Key, Secret, and a name (e.g. “Bybit – WickHunter”)

  5. Click Connect

You're Done!

Your Bybit account is now linked with Wick Hunter. You can now trade using automation, bots, and all the features Wick Hunter has to offer!

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Make sure the permissions are exactly as shown

  • Ensure you selected WickHunter from the app dropdown

  • If you have IP restrictions enabled, whitelist Wick Hunter’s IPs

  • API keys on new accounts may have a waiting period (up to 48 hours)
